The Monroe Foundation, now in its 33rd year, launched in 2024 to transform lives impacted by barriers to employment through the REDI Project (Redevelopment Initiative), a workforce readiness project for the formerly incarcerated by first enabling individuals to obtain their Criminal History Reports or “Rap Sheets” from the Chicago Police, and referring them for sealing/expungement and relief options” for employment and entrepreneurship to Cabrini Green Legal Aid.
